This post is about my research on some roles in the fields of animation and game.
In the animation industry in China, positions without work experience requirements and those targeting fresh graduates are mostly for animators, clearing, coloring, inbetween, storyboard, and scene painting. Keyframe artists and directors, on the other hand, are mostly for those with more than three years of experience. The former offers lower salaries while the latter is relatively higher. However, I don’t meet the requirements. Therefore, I believe a feasible solution is to first apply for some available roles, such as an animator and storyboard. Then, after gaining work experience, consider promoting or trying to be a director.
